You can play Dying Light to the fullest with the final version of the acclaimed open world zombie survival game. Containing four mainline DLCs and twenty-two bundles, Dying Light: Definitive Edition is the complete experience that accumulates the entire 7-years worth of lifespan that packs all of its content into one single unit. Explore all the post-apocalyptic world has to offer. Drive across Harran as you spread carnage in your buggy, face and survive Bozak’s trials, explore new quarantine zones, and enjoy plenty of new skins and weapons!

Includes:
  • Dying Light – the full award-winning game.
  • Dying Light: The Following – a huge expansion complete with a new story, vast original map, and a customizable buggy to drive.
  • Dying Light: Bozak Horde – a challenging game mode with its own side story.
  • Cuisine & Cargo – two additional quarantine zones.
  • Ultimate Survivor Bundle – exclusive weapons and outfits.
  • Crash Test Skin Pack – a madcap cosmetic pack.
  • Hellraid – a new game mode in a dark-fantasy setting.
  • A large collection of skins and weapons that will make slaughtering zombies even more fun
Dying Light is a first-person, action survival game set in a vast open world. Roam a city devastated by a mysterious epidemic, scavenging for supplies and crafting weapons to help defeat the hordes of flesh-hungry enemies the plague has created. At night, beware the Infected as they grow in strength and even more lethal nocturnal predators leave their nests to feed on their prey.

Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition takes parkour-fueled zombie survival to a whole new level. Enjoy the definitive Dying Light experience with the brand-new Legend system, improved visuals, major gameplay enhancements, and more. This package comes with all the available bonus content, including Be the Zombie, Cuisine & Cargo, Ultimate Survivor Bundle, and The Bozak Horde. Last but not least, travel beyond the walls of Harran to discover a vast, dangerous new region in Dying Light: The Following – a massive story-based expansion that brings mysterious characters, deadly new weapons, unexpected quests, and fully customizable and drivable dirt buggies.

VAST OPEN WORLD - Traverse an extensive world plunged into chaos and destruction. In this diverse environment, you’ll fight for survival against numerous kinds of enemies since the infected are not the only threat: facing down other desperate humans is often the only way to get precious supplies.
NIGHT CHANGES THE RULES - In daylight you explore the city searching for supplies and weapons. After nightfall, though, this infected world undergoes a dramatic transformation that gives the gameplay a new dimension. You, a hunter by day, become prey. The infected grow in strength, but something even more sinister looms in the darkness to begin its hunt.
PARKOUR-STYLE MOVEMENT - Whether you hunt or escape the hunters, you can move around the city with ease and speed. Jump between rooftops, climb walls, and attack your foes from above. Dying Light gives players a freedom of movement never seen in open world games before.
4-PLAYER CO-OP - Cooperate with other players in the extreme conditions of a zombie apocalypse. Show your individuality and customize your character with dozens of unique outfits.
ASYMMETRIC MULTIPLAYER - Your game can be invaded by the Night Hunter, a human-controlled, extremely powerful enemy. Join forces with other players to repel the invasion or go one-on-one with Harran’s worst nightmare.
EXPANDED WITH DYING LIGHT: THE FOLLOWING - Discover the untold chapter of Kyle Crane’s story thanks to this massive expansion. Leave the quarantine zone and investigate a mysterious faith that has asserted itself in the seemingly serene countryside – a region bigger than all areas of the Dying Light combined!
DRIVE TO SURVIVE - Dying Light: The Following introduces the drivable dirt buggy that you can freely customize and upgrade with special weapons, attachments and decals to create your deadliest weapon yet.

All right then. This game is pretty old to be receiving updates. I hope this is the last update tho. I don't want to have to rely on somebody to upload the patch.

Just to confirm: there is no way to get from 1.16 to 1.17 so that I can use the available 1.17 to 1.18 patch without redownloading the whole thing?

I'm so clueless guys... Can't change the game language, even adding "-locale=xx" or "-culture=xx" to the shortcut path. What is going on with this game... Also, first time I launched it and selected full screen in the video options, it crashed; but the second time it didn't. xD

Oh ok, I usually never open that dropdown menu because, even if my language is supported, it doesn't appear there. Somehow the situation is different for this game though.
Anyway, I had a look at the game installation folder and it looks like the files for all languages are there, so why it doesn't start in a different language? I also tryed to manually edit the registry entry, without success.

I have no words honestly... This is probably one of the most retarded things I've seen in years, because even a child is taught what a switch statement is as part of the most fundamental basics of programming... But nope, they hardcoded the game language into the launcher .exe WTF... What's even the sense of wasting GBs to install the files of all languages then? lol Damn, even a separate language selector would have been fine, but this is just plainly stupid.

Someone noticed the problem much before me and asked for a fix on the official forum, but Techland never cared to answer, or apparently isn't skilled enough to fix such a hard problem in two years.

This is one of the most immersive video games that I've ever played. Very well optimised. Easily one of the best zombie games ever made. So, while you might have a point, you should take it easy on the developer.

Besides, what I wanna know is why would you even want to get the original GOG version of this game? Do you play/collect only a few specific games? With a game of this size, you should obviously go with a repack anyway. For example, Xatab's release is less than 13GB and is also based on the GOG version of the game. You save 10GB of transfer/hdd space with no sweat.

I don't really care about HDD space as I'm kinda a data hoarder. Actually I always choose the biggest in size releases, since that means also less compression aka less CPU intensive task and faster installation.

As regards the game, I tryed to push myself into it as far as I could (because of the so many people praising it), but I just hate it, can't do much about that, so I eventually dropped it after around 20 hours I think. In fact I had reached my limit much before that, so I started using a trainer for teleporting to waypoint, getting infinite ammos, faster run, higher jump, etc. just to try to relive some pressure from the obnoxious game chores, started to skip all side quests, and yet I couldn't force myself to keep going.

It's so bad for me that Techland has been committing so much on Dying Light, also announcing a second chapter recently, since I've been waiting for Dead Island 2 for so long... I found the gameplay of Dead Island games much funnier: more enemies, more cool weapons (expecially shooting ones), vehicles, better combat system, bigger and better world to explore. But whatever, to each his own.
